Classmates and Members of the Class of 1984 Family,

Welcome to Annapolis and the 35th Reunion of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1984!  The Reunion Committee welcomes you and is looking forward to reconnecting with you as we celebrate our 35th!  The Committee has been working hard for the past 15 months to put together a great weekend of events that we hope you and your guests enjoy.  I would like to thank the members of the reunion committee for their contributions: Dianne Hardin Archer, Tom Beck, Bill Campbell, Lowell Crow, Melanie Kirby Doherty, Charles Frederick, Paul Gawryszewski, Rocky Goins, Brian Goodrow, Karen Malloy Halverson, Ed McCauley, Kevin Monahan, Kathleen Murray, Marjorie Rawhouser, and Stephen Shepherd.  The Committee wishes to thank each of our 36 Company Reps for their critical role of spreading the word.  The Company Reps’ vigorous email and voice communications helped establish buzz and assisted the committee with forecasting attendance. 

Your reunion credential is your ticket to the events for which you signed up.  Please make sure you have it with you!  The credential has a QR code that will keep you connected to “the gouge” for the weekend.  You will be able to view the Schedule of Events on your credential. If you wish to add an event, please see a member of the check-in team.  Things to do to enjoy the reunion include:

  1.  Plan on arriving early to events…Yard security is tight.  We have busses running from the DoubleTree throughout the weekend. 
  2. On Friday, consider spending the day on the yard.  If you haven’t been on the Yard in a while, there is a new coffee shop, Naval Academy 1845 Coffee, at Gate 3 between the Chapel and the Naval Academy Club!
  3. Reunion Check-In:  Thursday:  3-8 pm At DoubleTree Hotel, Friday:  9-1 pm Dahlgren Hall, 4-6 pm DoubleTree Hotel, Saturday: 12-2 pm Stadium Water Tower.

More than 35 years ago, we left the shores of the Severn River to become leaders in the Armed Forces of the United States.  We still have five classmates on active duty serving our country at the highest levels of the Department of Defense.  As you celebrate and reconnect with your fellow classmates this weekend, take pride that through more than 35 years, the Class of 1984 has honorably served the United States of America.
