Welcome to the USNA Class of 1989 35th Reunion

Hi, Classmates!
Your reunion committee has planned four fantastic days of events, and we hope you can join us! We have worked hard to deliver a fun reunion, maximizing time with classmates while keeping costs reasonable, and including some great swag.

Early Bird Pricing Extended!

Please sign up now to take advantage of our early bird pricing, which has been extended until the end of the day on July 4th! Happy Birthday, America!

http://1989.usnaclasses.net/reunion-gouge/

Regular registration fees will apply throughout July, with prices increasing substantially on August 1st. Late additions significantly impact our vendors, venues, and planning for food, swag, and event enhancements.

Our entire price structure is designed to give us the best possible numbers at least 30 days before our reunion. We understand it may be difficult for some classmates to commit now and that there are no refunds, but this cannot override our financial obligations to the class.

Financial Assistance Available

We have funds available to help classmates for whom this would be a financial strain. Don't let the cost be a reason you don't attend. Please reach out to Tony Newpower ([email protected]) for assistance. All communication will be confidential.

Special Thanks

A huge thank you to our classmate JT O'Farrell and his company AMSG, as JT has graciously offered to pay for our open bar on Friday evening and the entire Supe's Brunch. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, JT, for making our reunion even better!

Admin Notes:

  • Married classmates, please note: Each classmate MUST create their own registration and pay the registration fee. Thank you!
  • Our registration site has currently blocked any access from outside the US. We are working on correcting this or finding a workaround for those affected (such as the use of a VPN).
  • A few people have asked about hotel room blocks and housing. After exploring many options, we decided not to commit to any hotels. The discounts were not as significant as we had hoped, and the financial commitment with class funds was too risky. Hotels tend to be expensive for all home football games. However, Priceline still has some less expensive options. Additionally, a great and fun option would be to share an Airbnb with several couples. There are still many available options.

I personally would like to thank the reunion committee who have spent a great deal of time planning a fabulous reunion for our class! We will make sure you know who they are so you can thank them in person during the reunion weekend. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to me or Denise, and we will do our best to address them.

Looking forward to seeing you all! Go Navy!

Shout Outs

Frequently Asked Questions

Please review our Frequently Asked Questions to have an enjoyable event.

How much is the registration fee and what does it cover?

Registration cost for the 35th reunion is $89 and required for classmates only. Pricing will increase in July and again in August. The registration fee covers reunion expenses for transportation, registration/credentials, photographer, security, signage, and other administrative costs.

What if I'm married to an '89 classmate, do we both have to pay the registration fee?

Yes. Since we base the registration fee on the number of classmates attending the reunion to cover the fixed costs for the entire weekend, we ask that all classmates pay their fee. Each classmate will need to create their own registration. This ensures each classmate has a proper name tag and swag. Thank you!

Can I pay with cash or check?

No, to keep efficient processes, we are only accepting credit card transactions - cash and check are not accepted.

What is the processing fee?

The processing fee covers the credit card transaction fees.

What is the refund policy?

All sales after 1 August are final. Any fees collected will be donated to the class operating fund. Refund requests prior to 1 August will be dealt with on a case by case basis minus $20 and the credit card company imposed processing fees. Refund requests will be determined by the Reunion Committee.  Approved refunds direct back to the credit card as long as the refund occurs within 120 days of the initial charge. Refunds outside the 120 day window will incur an additional check fee of $5 for a check mailed to the registrant. Chargebacks initiated by the registrant will incur a $50 fee. NOTE that your credit card statement will read "SignUpNow.Events".

What identification do I need to gain access to the Yard?

Anyone 18 years of age or older must present a valid, unexpired original REAL ID Act compliant U.S. government photo ID card (e.g., state issued driver's license or identification card); or an original, unexpired passport to enter USNA grounds.

Where do I buy game tickets in the class block?

Purchase tickets in the Class Block directly from NAAA with this link: Click Here.

Can I park in The Yard?

Only persons with a valid DOD ID may bring their vehicle onto the yard. Getting your vehicle onto, and parking in The Yard is very, very challenging at this point given the various construction projects underway.  We do NOT recommend planning on parking in The Yard.  Most access will be via foot at Gate 1. We recommend using the buses provided by the class whenever possible.

Can I park at the stadium during game day?

In short, No. Parking will NOT be sold for the stadium (Blue and Gold) lots on game day. A season parking pass can be purchased by season ticket holders. Satellite parking is available at the Harry S Truman Park and Ride, located on Harry S Truman Parkway just off Riva Road. Shuttle service begins five (5) hours prior to the start of the game. Service continues throughout all games, ending approximately two (2) hours after each game's completion. The shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes, and drops off and picks up at the Navy Ticket Office at the Class of 1953 Pavilion. Handicapped Parking: For access to handicapped parking, you must have a season parking pass. In order to obtain handicapped parking, one must purchase a season parking pass as well as have a state issued handicapped parking placard or license plate. Please see the NAAA Football Parking & Fan Guide at www.navysports.com.

Does the Stadium have a Clear Bag policy?

Yes! Navy has adopted A Clear Bag Policy already enacted by many schools around the nation. This policy was adopted to enhance public safety and make stadium access more efficient. Each classmate will be issued a clear stadium bag at check in.

Permitted Items: Clear bags no larger than 12"X12"X6", small clutch purses no larger than 4.5"X6.5", blankets, seat cushions, diaper bags, umbrella strollers, and video cameras. All items will be inspected.

Prohibited Items: Backpacks, computer bags, purses, fanny packs, brief cases, binocular cases, camera cases, tote bags, firearms, bottles (glass or plastic), cans, thermoses, coolers, alcoholic beverages, outside food or drink, large bags, folding chairs, umbrellas, profession cameras and tripods, noise makers, hanging banners/signs/sticks, chains, illegal substances, laser pointers, clothing containing vulgar language, large strollers, fireworks, aerosol cans, pets, pepper spray, and any item deemed by management to be dangerous or inappropriate.

When Can I Check In to the Reunion?

Check in times are noted in the schedule. Please plan on checking in as early as possible during the reunion weekend during the times indicated. This will ensure that you receive credentials which will serve as your tickets for the paid events.

Our Committee

If you see any of these committee members, please give them a huge thank you as they have given of their time and efforts to help make the event fun and enjoyable for everyone!
