Welcome to the USNA Class of 1984 40th Reunion

Hello Classmates! Welcome to the registration site for our 40th! All of this is made possible by the collective efforts of your Reunion Committees. They have been meeting regularly since the Spring of 2023 to pull all of this together. It started with your inputs on the reunion survey over two years ago and, since then, we've worked through the many constraints of hosting a reunion at USNA. The fun all starts with a class Golf outing on Thursday and ends on Sunday with Brunch in King Hall.

This year the committee worked with the Alumni Association to be the first class to base entirely out of Fluegel. Events like swag assembly, check-in, a casual gathering in the bar (Thursday afternoon after check-in), and a Friday evening buffet style event with an open bar ALL will be hosted at Fluegel. The Friday night event will give classmates the opportunity to catch-up not only in a ballroom style event but also in adjacent areas that include a piano bar and waterfront covered deck areas.

Class events on the Yard on Friday are the Class Meeting (in Terwilliger adjacent to the Class of '84 Team Meeting Room), the Memorial Gathering (Chapel), and a Luncheon at the Naval Academy Club (formerly the O'Club). Saturday events include the Class Fun Walk/Run (starting/ending at Halsey) and of course the Class Tailgate in the new two-story tent inside the stadium. The brand new 10,000 sq foot tent is the only space large enough to accommodate a class that shows up like '84. To attend the tailgate, you will need a ticket to the football game and we have reserved both seated and reasonably priced Standing Room Only tickets. If it helps you decided which to purchase, the second deck of the tent has good visibility of the Field. The time for the game has been set for 1530.

Please register for the reunion soon!

Registration for classmates is still at $84 and each guest of a classmate is $42. There is no registration fee for guests under 16. Our costs go up as we get closer, so early bird pricing must end on August 1. Registration for classmates after August 1 will increase to $100 and a swag bag and game tickets in the class block can no longer be guaranteed. After September 1, the price of registration and each event will increase significantly.

Please take a look at what your reunion committee has put together for you. It's exciting!! If you have any questions, shoot them to Brian and Karen. Look forward to seeing you in October!

Frequently Asked Questions

Please review our Frequently Asked Questions to have an enjoyable event.

How much is the registration fee and what does it cover?

Registration cost for the 40th reunion is $84 (Classmates) and $42 (Guests 16 & older) and covers reunion expenses for transportation, registration/credentials, photographer, security, signage, and other administrative costs. Registration is a required payment for classmates and guests 16 & older.

What if I'm married to an '84 classmate, do we both have to pay the registration fee?

Yes. Since we base the registration fee on the number of classmates attending the reunion to cover the fixed costs for the entire weekend, we ask that all classmates pay their fee. Each classmate will need to create their own registration. This ensures each classmate has a proper name tag and swag. Thank you!

Can I pay with cash or check?

No, to keep efficient processes, we are only accepting credit card transactions - cash and check are not accepted.

What is the processing fee?

The processing fee covers the credit card transaction fees.

What is the refund policy?

All sales after 1 August are final. Any fees collected will be donated to the class operating fund. Refund requests prior to 1 August will be dealt with on a case by case basis minus $20 and the credit card company imposed processing fees. Refund requests will be determined by the Reunion Committee. Approved refunds direct back to the credit card as long as the refund occurs within 120 days of the initial charge. Refunds outside the 120 day window will incur an additional check fee of $5 for a check mailed to the registrant. Chargebacks initiated by the registrant will incur a $50 fee. NOTE that your credit card statement will read "SignUpNow.Events".

What identification do I need to gain access to the Yard?

Anyone 18 years of age or older must present a valid, unexpired original REAL ID Act compliant U.S. government photo ID card (e.g., state issued driver's license or identification card); or an original, unexpired passport to enter USNA grounds.

Where do I buy game tickets in the class block?

Purchase tickets in the Class Block directly from NAAA with this link: Click Here.

Can I park in The Yard?

Only persons with a valid DOD ID may bring their vehicle onto the yard. Getting your vehicle onto, and parking in The Yard is very, very challenging at this point given the various construction projects underway.  We do NOT recommend planning on parking in The Yard.  Most access will be via foot at Gate 1. We recommend using the buses provided by the class whenever possible.

Can I park at the stadium during game day?

In short, No. Parking will NOT be sold for the stadium (Blue and Gold) lots on game day. A season parking pass can be purchased by season ticket holders. Satellite parking is available at the Harry S Truman Park and Ride, located on Harry S Truman Parkway just off Riva Road. Shuttle service begins five (5) hours prior to the start of the game. Service continues throughout all games, ending approximately two (2) hours after each game's completion. The shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes, and drops off and picks up at the Navy Ticket Office at the Class of 1953 Pavilion. Handicapped Parking: For access to handicapped parking, you must have a season parking pass. In order to obtain handicapped parking, one must purchase a season parking pass as well as have a state issued handicapped parking placard or license plate. Please see the NAAA Football Parking & Fan Guide at www.navysports.com.

Does the Stadium have a Clear Bag policy?

Yes! Navy has adopted A Clear Bag Policy already enacted by many schools around the nation. This policy was adopted to enhance public safety and make stadium access more efficient. Each classmate will be issued a clear stadium bag at check in.

Permitted Items: Clear bags no larger than 12"X12"X6", small clutch purses no larger than 4.5"X6.5", blankets, seat cushions, diaper bags, umbrella strollers, and video cameras. All items will be inspected.

Prohibited Items: Backpacks, computer bags, purses, fanny packs, brief cases, binocular cases, camera cases, tote bags, firearms, bottles (glass or plastic), cans, thermoses, coolers, alcoholic beverages, outside food or drink, large bags, folding chairs, umbrellas, profession cameras and tripods, noise makers, hanging banners/signs/sticks, chains, illegal substances, laser pointers, clothing containing vulgar language, large strollers, fireworks, aerosol cans, pets, pepper spray, and any item deemed by management to be dangerous or inappropriate.

When Can I Check In to the Reunion?

Check in times are noted in the schedule. Please plan on checking in as early as possible during the reunion weekend during the times indicated. This will ensure that you receive your swag items and credentials which will serve as your tickets for the paid events. Check in will END at game kick off on Saturday. If you are not able to check in by that time, please have a classmate check in for you and provide WRITTEN NOTIFICATION to class officers prior to the weekend OR contact the class officers yourself to make separate arrangements. This will ensure that your classmate volunteers are able to enjoy the reunion weekend themselves.
